Work to set-up power station commences at Nallurvayal in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Works to set-up a substation at Nallurvayal near Coimbatore is in full swing. Work is in progress to set up a substation with a capacity of 110 KV at Nallurvayal Village.

In the Seeranaickenpalayam power distribution circle, there are five substations. The Electricity Board is undertaking tasks including setting up of new substations and installation of new transformers as the power capacity requirements are increasing.

Accordingly, the site for setting up a substation at Nallurvayal Village was selected and work is in progress to set up a 110 KV substation at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore per acre. When this substation comes into use, problems including low voltage in the surrounding villages will be prevented.
