9,464 factory workers vaccinated in one day yesterday in Coimbatore - District Collector confirms

Coimbatore: The district collector has promised to provide free vaccinations to factory workers in Coimbatore following the rising tide of the second wave of corona epidemic.


Coimbatore: The district collector has promised to provide free vaccinations to factory workers in Coimbatore following the rising tide of the second wave of corona epidemic.

Coimbatore District Collector Nagarajan said, “In Tamil Nadu, a vaccination program has been implemented for people between the ages of 18 and 44. This includes workers working in factories on a priority basis, cooking gas distributors, newspaper distributors, milk distributors, pharmacy workers, bus drivers, conductors, auto drivers, taxi drivers, petrol punk employees, food distributors, construction workers, government employees, journalists. Corona vaccination is provided free of charge to representatives of voluntary organizations.

In Coimbatore district, 9,464 people working in different industries were vaccinated yesterday. Trade unions, industry federations and trade unions are working together to vaccinate on a daily basis. Through this, steps have been taken to ensure the safety of employees between the ages of 18 and 44.”
