Restrictions must be strictly adhered to in spite of relaxations: Coimbatore District Collector.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran has advised the public to adhere to the guidelines and restrictions imposed by the government in order to protect themselves even if relaxations are announced by the government.

District Collector Sameeran advised that the guidelines announced by the government should be implemented by all.

He in his statement said, "Lockdown is being implemented with various relaxations. Accordingly, various relaxations have been granted, such as extra time for grocery and vegetable shops, permission for government and private exhibitions, hotel, tea shops, bakeries, 50 per cent for customers to sit and dine, clothes shops, jewellery shops.

Even if relaxations are granted, everyone must follow government guidelines. The public should avoid gathering unnecessarily. In the containment area, only essential activities will be permitted. Public must cooperate with the measures of the district administration."
