District Collectors instructed to compile list of those not vaccinated

Special vaccination makeshift camps along with medical teams will be set up and conducted over two days.

Coimbatore: District Collectors have been instructed to prepare a list of those who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19.

In Tamil Nadu, 73 per cent of those eligible for the vaccination have been vaccinated with the first dose. The second dose of the vaccine was administered to 35 percent of individuals. The Government intends to hold two special vaccination camps each week, instead of one special vaccination camp, so that everyone who is eligible for vaccination will soon get their jab.

In addition, District Collectors have been instructed to compile a list of people who have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19, in each street, ward, Panchayat, Municipality and Corporation. Special vaccination makeshift camps with medical teams will be set up and conducted over two days, on Thursdays and Sundays, in coordination with special camps, private charities, volunteers and all departments. On all other days except Monday, vaccinations will be administered regularly at Government Hospitals.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday via video conference under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to provide relevant guidelines to the District Collectors in this regard.
