Vacancies in Bharathiar University, Coimbatore to be soon filled

Coimbatore: The vacancies for the posts of non-teaching staff are to be soon filled as the state government has issued permission for recruitments.

Following the Government’s grant to fill up vacant posts of non-teaching staff, a syndicate meeting of the Bharathiar University was held on Wednesday. The syndicate members, along with the newly appointed members participated in which the Higher Education Secretary, Karthikeyan also participated through video conferencing. At the meeting, more than 70 demands were made on behalf of the members.

In the meeting, it was highlighted that more than 150 non-teaching posts are vacant in the university and it was urged to fill up these posts. The Government has subsequently directed to initiate the process of filling these vacancies.

The members who participated in the meeting said, "The higher education secretary has directed to fill up posts including that of the Controller of Examinations, which is currently supervised by the ‘in-charge officers’. He advised to fill up the vacant non-teaching posts.”
