16th mega vaccine drive on Sunday; District Collector Sameeran informs

The 16th vaccination drive is scheduled for Sunday on the 26th. Extensive arrangements are made for the drive. A total of 548 detention centers have been set up in 403 camps in rural areas and 145 camps in corporations.


Coimbatore: The Covid-19 vaccination drive in Tamil Nadu is well underway. In Coimbatore district 26.11-lakh persons over 18 years of age are vaccinated with the first phase and 20.19-lakh persons with the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

In Coimbatore district, 94.2 per cent over 18 years of age are vaccinated with the first dose and 72.3 per cent with the second dose of vaccination.

Vaccination drive in Coimbatore district has been organised stating from 12th September, 2021. Till date, 15 mega vaccination drives have been successfully organised.

As a result, vaccines have been given to 13.65-lakh people. The 16th vaccination drive is scheduled for Sunday on the 26th. Extensive arrangements have been made for the next mega vaccination drive. A total of 548 detention centers have been set up in 403 camps in rural areas and 145 camps in corporations.

All those who have not yet been detained are requested to make use of this drive. District Collector Sameeran has requested the public to use vaccination administered in the above camps to protect themselves.
