Special Corona booster dose vaccination camp will be held on Thursday from 9 am at all Regional Government Primary Health Centers, Government Hospital, ESI Medical College and all Urban Government Primary Health Centers in Coimbatore Corporation.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran has announced that the special Corona Booster Vaccination Camp will be held in Coimbatore Corporation on January 20.
"Precautionary Corona booster vaccination is being given to medical workers, health workers, field workers and those over 60 with comorbidities (like diabetes, high blood pressure etc.). To this end, the Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered a special camp to be held every Thursday throughout Tamil Nadu.
Accordingly, special camps are scheduled to be held in Coimbatore district from 9 am tomorrow (Jan.20) at all Regional Government Primary Health Centers, Government Hospital, ESI Medical College and all Urban Government Primary Health Centers in the Corporation. In addition, first and second line vaccinations will also be given at these centers. Precautionary (booster) dose against Covid should be completed 9 months after the second round of vaccination.
Thus far, only 10,478 eligible frontline staff in Coimbatore, over the age of 60 have been vaccinated. Since the Corona infection is spreading rapidly in Coimbatore district, everyone who is eligible should avail of the precautionary booster dose. Also, the 19th mega vaccination camp against Covid -19 is scheduled for Saturday," reiterated the District Collector.
