Helmet Wearing Mandatory for Two-Wheeler Back Seat Passengers from June 26th

Starting from June 26, the government has decided to make it mandatory for people sitting in the back of two-wheelers to wear helmets. This decision has come after a detailed inspection of two-wheeler accidents, which revealed that those riding without helmets and pillion riders had a higher mortality rate.

Coimbatore: The police carried out various inspections in detail on the casualties in two-wheeler accidents. Those driving without helmets and pillion riders have a higher mortality rate.

So, in order to ensure safe road travel and prevent 100% accidents, the city police want to implement 100% of the law that not only individuals driving two-wheelers but also pillion riders must wear helmets.

As a result, vehicle inspections will begin everywhere on June 26. According to the Motor Vehicles Act, persons who sit in the back of a vehicle without wearing helmets will face severe penalties.

They are also scheduled to be given awareness training on the importance of wearing helmets at the transport park for a week. Therefore, motorists should ensure that people sitting behind them also wear helmets.
