City Corporation sets Sep 15th as dead line for remitting security deposit for water connections.



CCM Corporation has issued an advisory to tax payers to remit security deposit for drinking water connections before September 15.

The City Corporation has revised the tax rates for drinking water connections and fixed Rs.5,000 for domestic and Rs.10,000 for commercial connections. Previously the deposit was 1000 and 3000 respectively. And, those residents and commercial establishments who have acquired connections post October 2013 are also asked to remit their arrears before 15th September.

The Civic body has expedited tax collection to augment its revenue which has earned the displeasure of the city denizens and protests against the move are witnessed by the residents.
