According to a recent release from IMD, extremely heavy rainfall is expected at the Ghat areas of Coimbatore and Nilgiris. The IMD has also stated very heavy rainfall can occur in ghat areas of Theni, Dindigul, Tirunelveli districts.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Kanyakumari district as well. IMD also predicted that moderate rains or thundershowers might occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
