City Corporation sets November 24 as deadline for property tax filing

Coimbatore: he city corporation has set a deadline of November 24 for the filing of property tax receipt by the householders and owners of immovable assets properties and lessees who have their property within City Corporation limits.


Coimbatore:  The city corporation has set a deadline of November 24 for the filing of property tax receipt by the householders and owners of immovable assets properties and lessees who have their property within City Corporation limits.

“The declarations should be made and tax filed on or before the said deadline lest the CCMC officials would carry out the property evaluation assessment and collect tax receipts accordingly,” a City Corporation official said.

Any discrepancies in the asset or property value would be addressed by the corporation officials and tax levy would be calculated on the basis of the year of construction of the property and the subsequent usage of the said property.

The filing of property tax could be carried out in the Corporation zonal offices directly or through the online mode.

The filled up property tax receipts could be filed directly, and through online or postal modes within the stipulated period of October 24 to November 24 the Corporation communique said.
