It is also reported that a huge tree had uprooted on the Ketti-lovedale route interrupting the railway track.
According to a statement from southern railway, "All train services of NMR between Mettupalayam and Udhagamandalam has been cancelled for one day on October 17, due to heavy rain forecast and chances of boulders damage and fallen trees on track".
