Coimbatore: The City Police has announced traffic diversions in the City between 10 am and 8 pm tomorrow, on account of Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra.

Coimbatore: The City Police has announced traffic diversions in the City between 10 am and 8 pm tomorrow, on account of Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra.

According to a release from the City Police Commissioner, "Vehicles entering into the City through Ukkadam from Palakkad and Pollachi will not be allowed to enter through Oppanakara Street. Instead, vehicles can take Sungam Bypass Railway Bridge".

"Also, light weight vehicles heading from Avinashi Road old flyover and Lanka Corner to Palakkad Road will be diverted to Ukkadam through Big Bazaar Street and Vincent Road. Buses will not be allowed to use Vysial Street, Oppanakara Street from Town Hall", the release added. 

"Vehicles heading to Thadagam Road, Mettupalayam Road from Avinashi Road old flyover will be diverted to Gandhipark and Flower market through Sukrawarpet. And, vehicles heading to Palakkad and Pollachi Road from Thadagam Road will be diverted through Ponnaiah Rajapuram and Ramamurthy Road to Sivalaya theatre, from where people can head to Palakkad Road and Pollachi Road through Puttuvikki Road", the release noted. 

And, vehicles heading into the City through Chetty Street and Raja Street from Perur will be diverted to Sivalaya junction, Ramamurthy Road, Sokkampudur, Ponnaiahrajapuram, Gandhi Park.
