Meat stalls to remain closed on April 17

Coimbatore : Meat stalls in Coimbatore will remain closed on April 17 on account of Mahavir Jayanthi.

The district administration has ordered all meat stalls selling beef, chicken and mutton to remain closed on that day. All the 10 meat stalls of the Coimbatore Corporation in Ukkadam, Singanallur, Sathi road, Podanur road and Thudiyalur road will also remain closed on April 17. The Coimbatore City Corporation Commissioner Shravan Kumar has said that stern action will be initiated against those who violate the order.
