Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana inspects storm water drain works in the city, directs officials to complete it at the earliest

Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana, who personally inspected the ongoing storm water drain and tarpaulin road works in Konavaikalpalayam and Selvapuram areas of Coimbatore Corporation, ordered that the works be completed within 15 days and put to public use.

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Corporation Commissioner Prathap inspected the Highways Department's ongoing construction of storm water drains and tarpaulin roads at the Konavaikkalpalayam region, which falls within Ward No.99 and 85 of Coimbatore Corporation's south zone.



They then directed the engineers to complete the construction of the storm water drain and tar road within 15 days, bring them into public usage, and remove roadside encroachments.



Following this, Mayor Kalpana, who visited selvapuram area under south zone ward no.79 and inspected the area, directed the concerned engineer to desilt the storm water drain in the area and prepare a suitable project estimate for the construction of a new storm water drain.
