'Tirupur should be a drug-free district:' Minister Saminathan instructs police at review meeting in Tirupur

Minister Saminathan instructed the police to take steps to eradicate drugs, reduce road accidents and ensure safety of the girl child in Tirupur district.


Tirupur: A review meeting was held with police officials of Tirupur district under the chairmanship of Information Minister Saminathan, at the District Collectorate in Tirupur.



Tirupur District Collector S Vineeth, City Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Abhinav, District Superintendent of Police Shashank Sai and police personnel were present. Various issues were discussed at the review meeting.



Minister Saminathan instructed the police to give priority to drug prevention, prevent accidents due to non-adherence to road rules and to ensure safety of the girl child. He urged the police to take appropriate steps to reduce accidents in Tirupur district and ensure that Tirupur district is drug-free, and to implement appropriate measures immediately.
