St. Anthony's Church in Akkamalai Estate near Valparai held the grand chariot procession ceremony, and a large number of devotees from different parts of the country, including locals, participated in the procession and offered prayers.
Coimbatore: The chariot festival of St. Anthony's Church at Akkamalai Estate, Valparai was held in a grand manner.
The famous St. Anthony's is located in the Akkamalai Estate near Valparai in Coimbatore district. The car festival of the temple began with the hoisting of the national flag on 9th May.
Subsequently, on the evening of May 13th 2023, under the leadership of Parish Priest Jagan Antony, in the presence of Assistant Stock Father Immanuel Peter, the first section of the Akkamalai Estate started from the Mustar area of the luxury charioteer to go ahead of the people carrying the candle.
Participating in this procession in the estate area, the participants and the members of the church offered garlands and flowers, salt and pepper to the idols of Mata and St. Anthony and prayed to Lord Muruga to express their gratitude for the demands fulfilled and fulfilling their wishes.
Later, from the car, the images of St. Anthony and Mother Mary were taken to the temple by the people of the share. This was followed by a special joint singing ceremony and the car festival ended in a grand manner. Then there was a feast of love for all the people of the church.
While the arrangements were made by the people of the Church, a large number of people from the local and outlying areas and the people of the temple participated in large numbers and graced the occasion.
