Woman arrested for stealing gold bars from director's house

Jyoti, a maid, was arrested and imprisoned after stealing 150 grams of gold bars from the house of Pon Murugan (46), director of Mayil Mark Samba Ravai in the RS Puram area of Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Police have arrested a woman for stealing gold bars in Coimbatore.

Pon Murugan (46) is from Coimbatore's Syrian Church Road, near R.S. Puram. He is the director of the renowned Mayil Mark Samba Ravai Company.

A few days ago, 150 grams of gold biscuits housed in his house went missing.

Following this, Ponmurugan inspected the CCTV cameras installed in his house.

It was found that Jyothi (47), a resident of Kamakshipuram in Ondipudur, who was working as a domestic helper, was carrying the gold bar.

Following this, Ponmurugan lodged a complaint with the R S Puram police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Jyoti and seized gold bars from her.

Jyoti was also produced in court and sent to jail.
