Coimbatore: Thondamuthur MLA S P Velumani has said that a separate resolution will be moved in the Assembly against the lynching of AIADMK leader Selvaraj in Karadimadai.

Selvaraj, who belonged to the AIADMK, was allegedly attacked and killed by DMK workers in Karadimadai area of Coimbatore recently. Thondamuthur MLA S P Velumani visited Selvaraj's house and consoled him and offered relief.

Speaking to reporters, he said,

In Coimbatore, there is no security for the public. Illicit liquor is being sold everywhere.

Selvaraj, who belongs to the AIADMK in Karadimadai in Coimbatore, in particular, for questioning the sale of liquor at a higher price in TASMAC, he was attacked by DMK's Rahul and Gokul, who run the TASMAC.

The police are supporting the killers in this murder case as they have carried out the murder with such courage. Immediate action should be taken against the police personnel who did not stop the sale of illicit liquor in Coimbatore.

"If proper action is not taken against those involved in the murder, the AIADMK will launch an agitation. In a democratic country, there is no security for anyone. The AIADMK will move a separate resolution in the Assembly on this murder incident.”
