No differences among TNCC leaders: Karti Chidambaram

There were no differences among the leaders in the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee. The leaders would work as one team for the party’s victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, said the party leader Karti P. Chidambaram in here on Tuesday.

Addressing reporters at the airport, he said that there was nothing much to read into his father and Congress leader P. Chidambaram’s exclusion in the committee formed to talk to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on seat sharing. For, all the leaders who were part of the committee were on friendly terms with his father.

There was nothing unusual about internal squabbles, if any, in the Congress because it was no party was free of it.

Predicting that the DMK-Congress combine would sweep the polls, Mr. Karti, who is an All India Congress Committee member, said that the People’s Welfare Front would not make any impact in the elections.

In response to a question on allegations that he had properties abroad, he replied that he had furnished all relevant documents to enforcement agencies and that he had nothing to hide.

Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who arrived in the city in the evening, declined to talk to the press.
