Coimbatore: A calling attention demonstration was held in front of the Red Cross society on behalf of the Federation of All Power Contractors And Electrical Employees Associations condemning the Electricity Board, The Electricity Licensing Board and the Electricity Regulatory Commission.



"Annexure 1, 2, 3 must be uploaded instead of the test report while applying online. The electrical license has to be registered with the unit offices of the electricity board and homeowners, civil engineers, masons should carry out electrical works only under the supervision of electrically licensed wiring contractors. No electricity connections should be provided to a building which is not so, and delay in renewal of licence should be avoided.

Arrangements should be made to make online licensing, renewal, etc., and provide electricity connection to residential buildings of 42 feet height and commercial buildings up to 2000 sq ft without completion certificate. "It should be made mandatory to use only electrical devices and software that do not have ISI and ISO quality certified Duplicate," the demands stressed.

More than 100 electricity contractors, electrical workers, plumbers and helpers of the association participated in the event and raised slogans to press for their demands.
