Leopard movement on Valparai Pollachi road: Forest department alert

The forest department has issued an alert to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders in Valparai to be careful as the movement of leopards is on the rise.


Coimbatore: The movement of wildlife is on the rise in the estate areas around Valparai in Coimbatore district.

Wild elephants like leopards, wild boars, bears etc. roam around in the residential area from the forest area.

In this situation, Arnold, a trader from Valparai, who had come to Valparai last night, came in a car as the public was complaining about the presence of a leopard in the Rotikadai area on the Pollachi road in Valparai. Then suddenly he saw something cross the road, Seeing this, he got scared and slowed down the car.



Just then, a leopard crossed the road, climbed on top of a nearby building and stared at the car for a while.



Then leopard heard some noise and went to the forest. The Valparai forest department has issued an alert to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders to be careful as the movement of leopards is on the rise.
