DMK workers go on hunger strike demanding cancellation of NEET exam

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu government has been continuously urging the Union government to cancel NEET, the medical entrance exam.



The DMK and various other parties have been holding demonstrations and protests at various places to press for this.

Meanwhile, the DMK youth wing, students' wing and the doctors' wing are on a hunger strike in Sivananda Colony area of Coimbatore.



More than 1,000 DMK workers are participating in the hunger strike led by DMK city district secretary Na Karthik and Thondamuthur Ravi Thalapathy Murugesan.

The DMK cadres, who are participating in the hunger strike, are continuing their hunger strike by holding banners demanding cancellation of NEET and banners with photographs of Anitha and Jagadeesan, who died due to NEET.
