Coimbatore Public Grievances Day Meeting - 55 petitions submitted to Mayor Kalpana

The petitions containing various demands pertaining to basic amenities such as birth and death certificates, road facilities, electric lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, industrial tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education were received.



Coimbatore: Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar has directed the concerned corporation department officials to take immediate action on the petitions submitted by the public at the Public Grievances Day meeting.

Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar presided over the public grievances day meeting held at the main office of Coimbatore Corporation today (22.08.2023).

Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan, Corporation Deputy Commissioners K Sivakumar and Dr S Selvasurabhi were present at the meeting.



At the meeting, 55 members of the public from all parts of the corporation submitted petitions to the mayor. The petitions containing various demands pertaining to basic amenities such as birth and death certificates, road facilities, electric lights, drinking water facilities, underground sewerage, industrial tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new water connection, name change, medical, health and education were received.

Of these, 12 petitions were filed in the eastern zone, four in the west zone, 12 in the north zone, seven in the south zone, 11 in the central zone and nine in the main office.

Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, who received the petitions, directed the concerned Zonal Assistant Commissioners, Engineers and officers to take immediate appropriate action on these petitions.

Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Senthil Kumar Rathinam, Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Sundarraj, Zonal Assistant Commissioners Senthilkumaran and Mahesh Ganakharaj, Town Welfare Officer Dr Damodaran, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Town Planning Officers, Assistant Engineers, all corporation officials and the general public participated in the meeting.
