Coimbatore: The DMK and BJP factions intensified their poster war at various locations in Coimbatore to have the last word on the Sanadanam issue, leading to a tense situation in the city.

While the DMK put up posters in Tamil were with the slogan "Poli Samiyarey 100 Kodi Tharom, Thoduda Paarkalaam," BJP workers also put up posters with slogans like "Sanatan Engal Uyir Moochu!" The posters were seen near Town Hall, Lanka Corner and Railway Station in Coimbatore city.

The DMK's Youth Wing Secretary, Udhayanidhi Stalin had stated at an event in Chennai two days ago that Sanatan should be abolished. Several Hindu organisations, including the BJP, condemned Udhyanidhi's statement.

Meanwhile, a video of an Ayodhya-based godman criticising Udhayanidhi Stalin while demanding that Udhayanidhi be killed and that Rs. 10 crore will be given to those who bring Udhayanidhi Stalin's head, has gone viral on social media. Several Dravidian organisations, including the DMK, have filed complaints with the City Police Commissioners' offices in their respective districts, demanding that appropriate action be taken against the godman for his alleged inflammatory and murderous speeches.

While social media condemned the Swami, the word "Sanadhanam" has become the talk of the town with various Hindu organisations backing the Swami. Here began the poster war between the DMK and BJP with each faction's cadres expressing their indignation at the issue.
