Coimbatore man booked for replacing Ashoka Chakra of Indian National flag with crescent moon

Based on a complaint lodged by police inspector Arulperumal, MHM Abdulla of Coimbatore has been booked under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 for replacing Ashoka Chakra of Indian National flag with crescent moon in social media.




Coimbatore: Inspector Arulperumal of Coimbatore Race Course police station, who was using Facebook, saw the Ashoka Chakra from the Indian national flag replaced with crescent moon and posted on the Facebook page of one MHM Abdhulha. He had posted that n 2047, it will be india's national flag. He also has it as a profile picture.

Based on a complaint lodged by police inspector Arulperumal, a case has been registered against MHM Abdulha under the Insult to The Dignity of the Country Act.

The police have registered a case against him and are investigating the matter.
