TNAU offers one day training on 'Beekeeping'

The training for the month of October 2023 will be imparted on 06.10.2023 (Friday). Hands on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Bee keeping.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore offers one day training on “Beekeeping” every month at the Department of Agricultural Entomology, Coimbatore. The training for the month of October 2023 will be imparted on 06.10.2023 (Friday). Hands on training will be imparted on various essential aspects of Bee keeping:

* Identification of bee species and social organization of bees

* Rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management

* Bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination

* Honey extraction

* Enemies and diseases of bees and their management

The candidates willing to attend the one day training has to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore at 9 am, show an ID proof and remit the training fee of Rs.590/- (Rupees five hundred and ninety only) on the day of training. Training timings: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
