Car plunges into PAP canal near Sulur

A man lost control of the car and plunged into the PAP channel near Sulur. On receiving the information, the police rescued Sathish from inside the car.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a car that lost control of the driver and plunged into the PAP canal.

Sathish is a farmer from Devanurpudur in Udumalpet. He was travelling in a car through the PAP canal in Sencherimalai area of Sultanpet last evening. At that time, the car suddenly lost control and plunged into the canal.

On seeing this, people nearby complained to the police. The Sultanpet police immediately rushed to the spot and opened the car door and rescued Satheesh, who was trapped in the water. He was then given first aid.



Following this, the police rescued the sulur fire brigade and crane after an hour's struggle to rescue the overturned car.



The incident created a stir in Sultanpet area.
