Disabled Worker Fights Unjust Dismissal: Petitions Tirupur District Collector for Justice

In a brave stance against unfair dismissal, Sivaraj, a disabled laboratory assistant from Tirupur, petitions the District Collector, challenging his termination despite a court injunction.

Tiruppur: In a recent development, Sivaraj, a resident of Udumalaipet area in Tirupur district, who is living with disabilities, has taken a significant step in his fight for justice. Sivaraj, who had been serving as a dedicated laboratory assistant in the health department for more than a decade, found himself facing unwarranted termination recently.

Undeterred by his dismissal, Sivaraj swiftly took action by filing a compelling petition at the Tirupur District Collector's Office. In this petition, he fervently argued that his dismissal, which occurred despite a pre-existing court injunction related to his work, was unjust and invalid. He contended that his termination, while he was employed on a lump sum basis, violated the legal precedents set by the court. Sivaraj urged the authorities to acknowledge the invalidity of his dismissal and demanded prompt measures to revoke the termination order.

This move by Sivaraj highlights the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the workforce and underscores the importance of upholding their rights. The community now eagerly awaits the response of the Tirupur District Collector's Office to this pressing matter.
