Coimbatore: A complaint has been filed against Sattaithurai Durai Murugan, a member of Naam Tamilar Katchi, in the Coimbatore District Collector's office for spreading false information about actor Kamal Haasan.

Allegedly, Durai Murugan made misleading comments about Kamal Haasan's place of birth as Hassan in Karnataka, causing unrest. The complaint, submitted by Makkal Needhi Maiam's supporters, demands legal action against Durai Murugan for his comments, which they believe aim to tarnish Kamal Haasan's reputation and mislead the public.

Social media platforms have also been requested to remove the false information propagated by Durai Murugan. The complaint emphasizes the need for legal action to maintain societal harmony and curb the spread of misinformation.
