Coimbatore District Collector Launches LED Display Awareness Vehicle Campaign on Rainwater Harvesting

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthikumar launched the Public Relations Department's LED vehicle to highlight the importance of rainwater harvesting on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Drinking Water and Drainage Board.


Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: In a proactive move to spread awareness about the significance of rainwater harvesting, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthikumar inaugurated an innovative initiative organized by the Public Relations Department. An LED-equipped vehicle, was unveiled at the District Collector’s office, marking the official commencement of the campaign.

The initiative, supported by the Tamil Nadu Drinking Water and Drainage Board, aims to educate the public about rainwater harvesting techniques and its vital role in water conservation. The LED vehicle features short films that explain the concept of rainwater harvesting, methods to collect rainwater effectively, and the importance of this sustainable practice. Additionally, the films highlight government initiatives aimed at promoting rainwater harvesting across the region.

Inauguration Ceremony:

At the inauguration ceremony, District Government Chairman Krantikumar flagged off the LED vehicle, symbolizing the start of the campaign. The event drew attention from officials, local residents, and environmental enthusiasts, all eager to understand and contribute to water conservation efforts in the district.

Awareness Spreading Across Public Spaces:

Following the launch, the LED vehicle will be strategically stationed in prominent public places throughout Coimbatore district. By showcasing informative videos, the campaign aims to engage citizens and encourage them to adopt rainwater harvesting practices in their homes and communities.
