Coimbatore: A woman with a disabled child staged a dharna in front of the Coimbatore District Collector's office demanding the return of the land due to her.

The victim told the district collector that her relatives had sold her land without her knowledge and she had been fighting for the share for eight years.

A people's grievance redressal camp is being held today at the Coimbatore District Collector's Office. In this regard, various organizations and citizens are directly submitting petitions regarding their grievances to the District Collector.

In this case, a woman named Daulath from Gandhipuram 1st Street near Karungalpalayam in Erode district, along with her disabled daughter and son, sat on the road in front of the district collector's office and suddenly started a dharna.

Then the police who were on security duty there rushed and tried to remove the woman and the child. But as he refused to come and took part in the protest, there was a traffic jam and a chaotic situation was created.

Later, the police pacified her and took her to the District Collector to file a petition. Regarding this, Daulath said that they have a land of 8 1/2 acres in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore, and without herknowledge, some of her relatives had sold the land to a DMK official from Mettupalayam, and that he did not give me any share as I was supposed to get a share in that place.

She said that she has been fighting in this regard for about 8 years, despite petitioning the District Collector several times to take action in this regard, but no action has been taken. So she said that appropriate action should be taken and restore the share due to her.

There was a commotion due to a woman who suddenly blocked the road with her children in front of the district collector's office and staged a dharna.
