Public Raises Alarm Over Deteriorating Condition of Udumalai Government Hospital’s Compound Wall

The compound wall of the Udumalai Government Hospital Office in Tirupur district is in a perilous condition, raising serious safety concerns among the public.

Tirupur: Residents of Udumalai, a town located in the Tirupur district, have expressed grave concern over the stability of the compound wall surrounding the government hospital office situated on Saravana Street. This aged infrastructure, showing significant signs of wear and tear, has not received proper maintenance for an extended period, thus leaving it in a precarious state.

Due to lack of adequate upkeep, the stability of the wall has been compromised, rendering it vulnerable to collapsing. Despite the looming threat it poses, no actions have been taken to address the issue promptly. Authorities seem to be lacking in awareness and responsiveness towards the potential disaster that could be triggered even by a minor mishap involving the wall.

The current state of the wall poses a significant risk not only to the hospital’s operational vehicles such as ambulances and motorbikes but also to the visiting public, creating an unsafe environment within the hospital premises. Given the imminent danger, there is a pressing public demand for immediate intervention to dismantle and rectify the unstable structure of the compound wall at the Udumalai Government Hospital Office on Saravana Street.
