Coimbatore: Marking the 265th birth anniversary of Veerapandiya Kattabomman, a revered figure in the Indian independence struggle, former Minister and AIADMK Chief Secretary SP Velumani paid tribute by garlanding his statue in Echanari, Coimbatore today evening. He delivered a speech highlighting Kattabomman's contributions during the freedom struggle and offered his respects. The event was attended by Kinathukadavu MLA C. Thamodaran, former MLA Edamadai Shanmugam, Madukkarai Town Party Secretary Shanmugaraja, other local party secretaries, ward secretaries, AIADMK key officials, and supporters.
