CCTV Footage Released of Vijayakanth Banner Tearing Incident in Tirupur

CCTV footage of a person tearing down a banner commemorating the late actor and DMDK leader Vijayakanth in Dharapuram, Tirupur, has stirred controversy.


Tirupur: A wave of controversy has hit Dharapuram in the Tirupur district following the release of CCTV footage showing the tearing of a banner dedicated to the late Vijayakanth, a former leader of DMDK and actor.

The banner, placed by the OPS faction of AIADMK near the Anna statue in Dharapuram, was torn down by an unidentified individual at night. The banner was set up by AIADMK's OPS faction's Tirupur suburban district secretary Kamarajar to mourn the demise of Vijayakanth.

The release of the CCTV footage capturing this act has created a stir in the area, raising questions and concerns among the local community.
