Erode Welcomes Adiyogi Ratha Yatra, Inaugurated by Mayor S. Nagarathinam

Erode recently hosted the prestigious Adiyogi Ratha Yatra, inaugurated by Mayor S. Nagarathinam, as part of the Mahashivratri celebrations, connecting devotees to the grand festivities at Isha Yoga Center.

Coimbatore: In a spiritual and festive display, the Adiyogi Ratham from Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore, reached Erode on January 10th as part of the Mahashivratri celebrations. The Ratha Yatra at Erode was inaugurated today by Mayor Smt. S. Nagarathinam.

The Mahashivaratri festival, scheduled for March 8th at Isha Yoga Center, is the motivation behind the Adiyogi Ratha Yatra, organized by Then Kailaya Bhakthi Peravai. The Yatra aims to invite devotees across Tamil Nadu to participate in the grand festival.

The journey of the Adiyogi Ratham, which started on January 5th from Isha Yoga Center, was flagged off by Perur Adheenam. Since then, it has traversed various districts, receiving a warm welcome at each stop, including places like the Erode Government Hospital and Periya Mariamman temple.

Yesterday, the Yatra in Erode began with Anand of MSK Motor Company and Sivashankar of Oasis Hotel performing an arati. The brightly lit and auspiciously decorated chariot was drawn by devotees through key areas, including Erode Railway Station and Valasu Mariamman temple.

Today's leg of the journey, starting from Dmart and covering areas like Villarasambatti and Erode Isha Vidya School, was inaugurated by Mayor S. Nagarathinam. The chariot will continue to Gobichettipalayam in the evening, to be welcomed by the public and Isha volunteers.

The Adiyogi Ratha Yatra is a significant event where four chariots, departing from Coimbatore, will cover a distance of 15,000 to 20,000 km across Tamil Nadu. The Ratha Yatra is an invitation to those who cannot visit the Adiyogi personally, bringing the divine presence to their localities, culminating at the Isha Yoga Center on Mahashivratri.
