Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner Inspects Development Work for Airport Expansion

Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner, M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran, inspects the development work for the expansion of Coimbatore International Airport, focusing on alternative pathways for the public in the acquired areas.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner, M Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, conducted an on-site inspection today of the ongoing development work for the expansion of the Coimbatore International Airport.





The focus was on the areas acquired for expansion in Chinniyampalayam to Irugur, where fencing is being erected and alternative pathways are being developed for public access. Accompanying him were Anita, the District Revenue Officer, Nagaraj, the Tahsildar of Airport Expansion, Ramasamy, the Village Administrative Officer of Irugur Panchayat, land officers, Kavitha, the Assistant Municipal Commissioner, and Ilankovan, the Engineer, along with Assistant Engineer Kumar.

The inspection by the high-level team underscores the commitment to ensuring minimal disruption to local communities during the airport's expansion. The team reviewed the progress and discussed measures to facilitate smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the construction phase.
