Pongal Festival Celebrations at Pollachi Municipality

Pollachi Municipality office celebrated Pongal festival with traditional fervor, involving community participation in cooking and sharing Pongal.


Pollachi: Today, the Pollachi Municipality office witnessed a vibrant celebration of the Pongal festival. The event saw the participation of the entire staff, where everyone enthusiastically engaged in the preparation and sharing of Pongal, cooked in traditional clay pots.



The celebration was graced by the presence of Pollachi Municipality Chairman Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, who added special significance to the event. Her participation highlighted the community spirit and the cultural importance of the festival.



The festivities included not only the cooking of Pongal but also involved singing, dancing, and playing traditional games like Kummattikali.
