35th Annual Samathuva Pongal Sports Festival by Indian Democratic Youth Federation

The Indian Democratic Youth Federation (IDYF) hosted the 35th Annual Samathuva Pongal Sports Festival in Appanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, attended by Councillor Karpagam Rajasekaran and the local community.


Coimbatore: The Appanaickenpalayam area in Coimbatore's 1st ward was the venue for the 35th Annual Samathuva Pongal Sports Festival, organized by the Indian Democratic Youth Federation (IDYF) on January 16. The festival, synonymous with equality and communal harmony, saw active participation from the community.

Councillor Karpagam Rajasekaran graced the event and presented awards to the winners, enhancing the festive spirit. The event drew a significant number of local residents who engaged in various traditional sports and games, celebrating the essence of Pongal.
