Protest for Implementing New Educational Policies in Tamil Nadu

Hindu Makkal Katchi (Tamil Nadu) organized a protest in Annur, demanding the implementation of the Navodaya schools, the immediate enforcement of the trilingual education plan, and the cessation of scholarships under the name of language martyrs.


Coimbatore: In a significant protest movement, Hindu Makkal Katchi (Tamil Nadu) has announced a campaign to send letters to the President of India, emphasizing key educational demands for Tamil Nadu. The protest, led by the party's State Organizing General Secretary Rajendran, was held at the Annur Post Office yesterday (Jan. 24).

The primary demands included the establishment of Navodaya schools in Tamil Nadu, immediate implementation of the trilingual education policy, and the discontinuation of scholarships awarded in the name of language martyrs. The event saw the participation of North District Secretaries Karthi and Selvan, and the Deputy City Leader Ramesh, among others.

During this protest, a total of 50 letters were sent to the President through the Annur Post Office, marking a collective effort to bring attention to these educational concerns. This movement reflects the increasing call for educational reforms and language policy changes in the state.
