News7 Reporter Nesaprabhu Brutally Attacked in Tiruppur

Nesaprabhu, a reporter for News7, was viciously attacked by unidentified assailants in Tiruppur. He had reported about Police officer taking bribes and reported being followed and sought police assistance until minutes before the attack.


Coimbatore: In a harrowing incident, Nesaprabhu, a reporter for News7 TV, was brutally assaulted by unidentified men in Tiruppur. Armed with sickles, the assailants attacked Nesaprabhu, who was subsequently rushed to a hospital in Coimbatore for emergency treatment.

Hours before the attack, Nesaprabhu had informed the local police about being followed by unknown individuals. Despite sharing this critical information, no significant action was taken by the police.

In a shocking audio recording made just minutes before the attack, Nesaprabhu is heard pleading with the police for immediate assistance, fearing for his safety. The police, however, responded by stating they would bring the matter to the inspector's attention.

Tragically, before any help could arrive, Nesaprabhu found himself surrounded by five cars and was viciously attacked. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of journalists and the responsiveness of law enforcement agencies in emergency situations.
