Coimbatore Police Commissioner Honors Home Guards; Distributes Reflective Jackets

In a gesture of appreciation, Coimbatore Police Commissioner Balakrishnan distributed reflective jackets to the Home Guard Force, enhancing their safety during night duties.


Coimbatore: The 75th Republic Day celebrations in Coimbatore witnessed a commendable act by Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, who hoisted the national flag on a 101-feet flag pole designed to keep the flag flying 24/7 at the city police commissionerate office. Following the flag hoisting, a significant ceremony was held to honor the contributions of the Home Guard Force, especially for their role in internal security, crowd management during festivals and visits of political leaders, and other crucial duties.



In recognition of their dedicated service, Commissioner Balakrishnan, in collaboration with the Coimbatore Inner Wheel Club, distributed reflective jackets worth one lakh rupees to the Home Guard Force. This initiative, led by Inner Wheel Club President Bhuvana Satish and Coimbatore Home Guard Assistant Commissioner Thenmozhi Rajaram, aimed to enhance the safety of the guards during night-time patrols and operations.

The distribution of reflective jackets is a step towards ensuring the safety of these frontline workers, acknowledging their critical role in maintaining law and order. The event was a significant part of the Republic Day celebrations, underlining the respect and support for the security forces in Coimbatore.
