GKNM Hospital Inaugurates India’s First and Largest Integrated Out-Patient Centre in Coimbatore

GKNM Hospital, a landmark in Coimbatore, inaugurated its new Integrated Out-Patient Centre, the first and largest in India, promising innovative standards in preventive healthcare.


Coimbatore: In a significant advancement in healthcare services, G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore, launched its state-of-the-art Integrated Out-Patient Centre (IOP) today. The inauguration was conducted via a video conference by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, marking a milestone in the hospital’s expansion.




Distinguished guests, including the Hon'ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Ma. Subramanian, and the Hon'ble Minister for Housing and Urban Development, S. Muthusamy, graced the event. Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS, the District Collector of Coimbatore, attended as a special guest.



The new IOP is touted as India’s first and largest facility of its kind and is set to pioneer new standards in preventive healthcare. Located at the GKNM Medical Research Institute and Out-Patient Centre on Avinashi Road, this centre aims to streamline patient services and offer enhanced care with its innovative design and infrastructure.



The inauguration event was well-received by the public and healthcare professionals alike, reflecting the community’s anticipation for improved healthcare accessibility. With its comprehensive services, the IOP Centre is expected to benefit thousands of patients in the region, contributing significantly to the public health landscape.
