BJP with 3-4 percent vote share is joking about AIADMK (35-40 percent) MLAs joining them; Ignore them: Former Minister S.P. Velumani

At a memorial event in Singanallur, former minister S.P. Velumani dismissed the significance of BJP's 3-4% voter base in Tamil Nadu, emphasizing AIADMK's strong 35-40% voter share and advising to ignore such laughable political discussions.

Coimbatore: At the 25th memorial event of Singai Govindarajan, former minister S.P. Velumani made a dismissive remark about the BJP's electoral presence in Tamil Nadu, questioning the need to respond to suggestions of aligning with a party that holds just 3 to 4 percent of the voter base. He highlighted the AIADMK's substantial share of 35 to 40 percent voters in the state, suggesting a stance of indifference towards such political discussions.

The event, held in Singanallur, commemorated the legacy of Singai Govindarajan, with the presence of notable AIADMK members including former MLAs and state secretaries. Velumani, during his speech, reminisced about Govindarajan's contributions and stated that a bright future awaits those loyal to the party. He expressed his disregard for rumors and speculation on social media platforms, mentioning an incident where fellow AIADMK member Amman K. Arjunan was upset by such unfounded information.

Further elaborating on the political landscape, Velumani asserted that alliances like DMK-AIADMK or Congress-BJP are improbable, questioning the necessity of discussing such unlikely scenarios. He also shared his personal commitment to blood donation, marking the occasion of a significant anniversary related to the party's matriarch.

The former minister's comments reflect the complex political dynamics within Tamil Nadu, where voter loyalty and party alliances remain critical factors in shaping the political discourse.
