Massive Public Gathering in Valparai to Celebrate Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's Birthday

Marking the birthday of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, DMK party members organized a grand public meeting in Valparai, Coimbatore district. The event, held at Gandhi Statue Bus Station premises, witnessed participation from over a thousand citizens, highlighting DMK's achievements and future plans.


Coimbatore: In a show of strength and celebration, the DMK party members convened a large public meeting in Valparai, Coimbatore district, to celebrate the birthday of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The event took place on March 3, 2024, at the Gandhi Statue Bus Station in Valparai, drawing a crowd of over a thousand attendees, including men, women, and local ward members.

The meeting was led by City Secretary Sudhakar with the participation of Coimbatore South District Secretary Thalapathi Murugesan, Chief Party Speaker Salem Sujatha, and Executive Committee Member and Valparai Assembly Constituency Observer Amutha Bharathi among others. This gathering served not only as a celebration but also as a platform to inform the public about the accomplishments of the DMK government over the past two and a half years.

Key achievements highlighted during the event included the introduction of a monthly assistance of INR 1,000 for women, free bus passes for women, and a monthly stipend of INR 1,000 for female students until college. Additionally, the Tamil Putlavan scheme promises INR 1,000 per month to students from grades 6 to 12 in government schools pursuing higher education.

Infrastructure development projects were also underscored, such as the aim to build 8 lakh concrete houses by 2030 under Kalaignar's Dream House Scheme, the Thaaiyumanga Varumai Ozhippu Thittam targeting poverty eradication among 5 lakh poor families, government job opportunities for 50,000 youths within the next two years, and significant budget allocations for various developmental projects including the establishment of Olympic training centers in Chennai, Trichy, Madurai, and Nilgiris, and the World Food Industry Conference in Tamil Nadu for the first time.

The assembly also discussed the setup of small industry clusters in Virudhunagar, Chengalpattu, Kanyakumari, Salem, Namakkal, and Pudukkottai, the construction of fishing harbors with a budget of INR 450 crore, a INR 500 crore allocation for rejuvenating 5,000 water bodies, and a INR 2 crore project to translate the epics Silappathikaram and Manimekalai into 25 Indian and international languages.

The successful execution of these projects and plans was presented as evidence of DMK's commitment to the welfare and development of Tamil Nadu, with the public meeting in Valparai standing as a testament to the support and enthusiasm of the people towards Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and his administration.
