New Flight Services Between Coimbatore and Chennai to Commence on March 31

Coimbatore to Chennai and vice versa will see the addition of two new flight services starting March 31, as announced by IndiGo. The move aims to facilitate easier day trips for business and leisure travelers.

Coimbatore: In a welcome development for travelers, two new flight services between Coimbatore and Chennai are set to begin on March 31, as per the latest announcement from IndiGo. These services aim to bolster connectivity between the industrial city of Coimbatore and the state capital, Chennai, catering to the needs of business travelers and tourists alike.

Previously, the first flight from Coimbatore would take off at 6 a.m., while the last flight from Chennai to Coimbatore was scheduled at 9 p.m. However, these timings were adjusted following the cancellation of two services a few months ago, leading to the first flight from Coimbatore being delayed until after 10 a.m. and the last flight from Chennai being advanced to 6:50 p.m. This change significantly impacted travelers, especially those traveling for business, making it difficult to return on the same day.

The introduction of the two new services from March 31 will see the first flight from Coimbatore to Chennai at 6:30 a.m. and the last flight from Chennai to Coimbatore at 9 p.m., reinstating the convenience of day trips for business purposes. According to officials from IndiGo, these additional flights are expected to greatly benefit passengers by providing more flexible travel options.

Business professionals have expressed their appreciation for the increase in flight services, noting that it will significantly aid in making day-long business trips between Coimbatore and Chennai feasible. Additionally, the new flight timings are anticipated to be particularly beneficial for international travelers arriving in Chennai in the evening, who wish to continue their journey to Coimbatore the same night.

This enhancement in air connectivity between Coimbatore and Chennai is a step forward in meeting the growing demand for travel between these two major cities, reflecting the commitment to improving transportation infrastructure and services for the benefit of the community and the economy at large.
