Copra Auction held at Anaimalai Regulated Market.

In Anaimalai, a copra auction was held in the regulated market where 91.80 quintals of copra, brought by 9 farmers, were sold for Rs.7.16 lakhs today.


Anaimalai: A copra auction is a regular Thursday event at the regulated sale market in Anaimalai. Today (March 28), the auction took place as scheduled at the Anaimalai Regulated market where nine farmers from the Anaimalai region contributed 204 bundles of copra for the auction.



Out of these, 48 bundles of first-gradecopra fetched a maximum price of Rs.9,155 per quintal, while 156 bundles of second-grade copra were sold for a maximum of Rs.7,850 per quintal. 

The auction concluded with a total of 91.80 quintals of copra being sold, accumulating a revenue of Rs.7.16 lakhs.
