Fire Breaks Out at Car Workshop in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore

A fire incident occurred at a car workshop in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, late night on April 19. The workshop, owned by Thomas William, suffered severe damages including three cars and a bike.


Coimbatore: A fire broke out at a car repair shop in SPB Nagar, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, causing significant damage. The shop, owned by 34-year-old Thomas William from Gandhima Nagar, caught fire late at night after it was closed for the day. Smoke was initially seen emanating from the building, alerting the nearby residents who promptly called the fire services.

Within a short time, the flames escalated, engulfing the workshop. The fire department from Ganapathy managed to control the fire, but not before three cars and a motorcycle parked at the site were consumed by the fire, leading to significant losses.

Following the incident, Thomas William filed a complaint with the Saravanampatti police, prompting an investigation into the causes of the fire. Authorities are exploring various possibilities, including an electrical fault or other factors that might have led to the blaze.
