Toll rates up at Kaniyur

The rates at Kaniyur toll plaza for the newly constructed Chengapalli-Neelambur road are up by Rs. 5 for cars from Friday. However, the rates for local passes have not changed.

According to sources, in the last five months 4,431 passes have been issued, including 1,112 car passes (monthly Rs. 150 toll) and 2,775 passes have been issued for the monthly Rs. 230 toll. There is no free pass for anyone, the sources clarified. From April 1, the toll for single journey is Rs. 85 for car, jeep and light motor vehicle as against Rs. 80 earlier and for return journey within 24 hours, it is Rs. 125.
