Coimbatore: District Medical Director Dr. Rajasekaran has conducted a surprise inspection at the Valparai Government Hospital in response to complaints regarding the absence of medical staff at crucial work hours, causing inconvenience to patients.

During his visit, Dr. Rajasekaran inspected various wards including the maternity ward, outpatient department, emergency ward, and the ICU to ensure proper maintenance and patient care were being provided.

Additionally, he inspected the newly constructed facilities, including examinations of the building's completion levels, expiration dates of medications, cleanliness of the toilets, and availability of water facilities in all wards. Concerns about the availability of staff during key shift change times at 8 AM, 2 PM, and 8 PM were also addressed, as reports of patient delays due to staff tardiness have been surfaced.

Dr. Rajasekaran also evaluated the new hospital building's modern kitchen and the availability of equipment to ensure adequate facilities for the general public visiting for treatments.

The district administration emphasized the importance of timely attendance by doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and sanitation workers to prevent any disruption in patient care. It was also noted that necessary equipment and appointments should be ensured for various staff members including cooks and night guards to improve the hospital's operation.

This strict inspection aims to enhance the overall functionality and service quality of Valparai Government Hospital, promising better healthcare services to the local community soon.
